The Unrequited Love Poem

Through veils of brilliant white
I picture my entire life
With you

Do you see me standing here
Or am I an invisible tone
That you can’t hear

Unheard and unseen in your eyes
My secret love burns
Blisters on my skin
Burning red with desire and sin

Perhaps if I was lost
Six feet deep I lay
My heart beating with power
Striking a drum of thunder

A transparent tapestry
Watching from the depths of crowded shadows
As your world spins

Ready to give you all I am
No question or doubt
But all I have is an unrequited love poem
